Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... east central Cabell County in West Virginia... west central Kanawha County in West Virginia... northeastern Lincoln County in West Virginia... this includes the city of Hamlin... southwestern Putnam County in West Virginia...

* until 830 am EDT

* at 749 am EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail. This storm was located near Culloden... or 8 miles north of Hamlin... and moving east at 30 mph.

* Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to tornado... St. Albans... Alum Creek... Institute... South Charleston and Dunbar.

This will impact the following Interstate... I-64 between mile markers 28 and 54 in West Virginia.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Very heavy rain will also fall from this severe thunderstorm... and will cause water to pond on roads and quickly fill roadside ditches and small streams.
