Above normal temperatures can be expected for most of this week. Meanwhile, an upper level disturbance will bring showers and a perhaps a few thunderstorms to the area tonight. There may be lingering showers Monday morning into early afternoon. Then a re-development of showers and thunderstorms is expected mid to late afternoon, possibly with some storms approaching severe limits across northeast Illinois into northwest Indiana and on into Michigan. Skies will clear Monday night as high pressure builds. Sunny and pleasant conditions are expected Tuesday. However, with light winds, areas around Lake Michigan may see cooler temps due to periodic lake breezes.
